Regensburg introduces new Architecture Short Film Award
The 23. International Short Film Week Regensburg has announced anew award for European short film productions dealing with the subject of architecture and the influence of the (artificial) environment on humans or vice verse. The current discussion about architecture needs new impulses and short films are very welcome to build a kind of utopia or criticize the realism of our surroundings.
The prize is worth EUR 1.500. Animations, Documentaries, Experimental or Fictional shorts up to 30 mins can be submitted 31st of October 2016.
Each March the International Short Film Week Regensburg takes place in three to four different cinemas and by that merges into the historical inner city. The Kurzfilmwoche is a non-profit, low-budget festival and acts as a broker between filmmakers and audience. Aside of four different competitions (International, German, Bavarian and Regional) there are thematically curated film programs, programs focussing a country, retrospectives and cross-media-projects. Hands-on workshops and lectures by media theorists complete the festival.
