A Society posted online in ongoing fight against Xenophobia

After making Swiss documentary short My Honeymoon available online to help explore and change attitudes in the wakes of the current refugee crisis, the initiative of more than 30 European film festivals has now made Jens Assur's poweful short A Society available.

In the film, eleven strangers are forced to share a confined space on a journey into the unknown. Under severe and uncertain circumstances they face their own prejudice and fears, while having to depend on each other in order to survive. During an undefined period of time the dynamics of the group creates a reflection of the world outside.

On their blog, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival - who have hosted the online screening of the film -states

"Take a few minutes to meet these refugees and please share their story with all your friends and raise your voice against xenophobia and in favour of a European society in solidarity.

This is an initiative of European film festivals fighting against xenophobia in Europe. European film festivals thank Jens Assur for providing his film to spread the word against xenophobia."
