Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson’s Artun wins the Town of Brest award
The 29th edition of the European Short Film Festival of Brest came to an end last Saturday. The jury composed by Spanish director Chema García Ibarra, Romanian actress Ana Ularu, French producer Mathieu Bompoint, French actress Angélica Sarre and Italian writer Leonardo Valenti, awarded Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson’s short film Artun (Island/Denmark) with the Town of Brest award, consisting in 2.000 euros grant donated by the town of Brest to a European director.
As Rosas Brancas by Diogo Costa Amarante (Portugal/USA) won the Regional Council of Brittany award for a European film while the General Council of Finistère award for a first or school film went to Kazimir by Dorian Boguta (Romania). Lorenzo Recio’s Shadow won the Jury Special award while Reizigers in de Nacht (Ena Sendijarevic, The Netherlands) and The Chicken (Una Gunjak) obtained the jury’s special mentions.
