Oberhausen calls for entries for 62nd Edition
One of the oldest film festivals in the world is once again calling for entries, this time for its 62nd Edition.
The 62nd International Short Film Festival Oberhausen will take place from 5 to 10 May 2016 and is now looking for films to be submitted. Deadlines will depend on the submitted work’s country of production: the deadline for international productions is 1 February 2016 (receipt), the deadline for German productions, including submissions for the MuVi Award for the Best German music video, is 15 February 2016 (receipt).
Classification into international or German productions depends entirely on the seat of the production company. International productions must not exceed 35 minutes and must be German festival premieres. German productions must not exceed 45 minutes. Submissions to the MuVi Award must not exceed 15 minutes. Submissions to all competitions must have been completed after 1 January 2015.
Children’s and Youth Films can also be submitted now. For German productions the requirements of the German Competitions apply, for international productions the requirements of the International Competition with the exception of the provision regarding German festival premieres.
The submission deadlines:
International productions: 1 February 2016
German productions and MuVi Award: 15 February 2016
All submissions must be made via the website of the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, where the regulations and submission form are now online HERE
