See the winner of the 48 Hour Film Project in Brussels
In June the 48 Hour Film Project came to Brussles as teams of filmmakers were given the task to make a movie - write, shoot, and edit - in just 48 hours.
On Friday night, teams draw a genre from a hat. They are then given a character, prop and line to include in their films. On Sunday night, in a wild dash to the drop off event, the film is turned in - and teams celebrate. The film is then screened at a local theater in front of an audience of filmmakers, friends and families.
This year the required elements were:
Character: Mark or Matilda Van Berg, Neighbour
Prop: A Piece of Chocolate
Line: "Ne soyez pas intimidé(e) par la caméra." ("Don't be camera shy.")
The winner of Best Film was La mort est un homme ordinaire by Compose It Art. It also won numerous other awards in Best Writing, Best Editing, Best Directing, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design, Best Musical Score, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Use Of Character. The film will now on to represent Brussels against all the other city winners around the world at Filmapalooza 2016.
